Appletini

Ingredients:
  • Vodka, 50 ml,
  • Cloudy apple juice, 50 ml,
  • Lemon juice, 1 tsp,
  • Maple syrup, 1tsp,
  • Apple, 1 slice,
Method:
  • Step 1, Shake the vodka, cloudy apple juice, lemon juice and maple syrup in an ice-filled shaker.
  • Step 2, Strain into a glass and garnish with the apple slice.

This drink, originally called an Adam's Apple Martini because the bartender who created it was named Adam, was created in 1996 at Lola's West Hollywood restaurant.

Bloody Mary

Ingredients:
  • Ice, 1 handful,
  • Vodka, 100 ml,
  • Tomato juice, 500 ml,
  • Lemon, 1 for juice (1 tbsp) and 2 slices,
  • Worcestershire sauce, 2 dashes,
  • Tabasco sauce, 2 dashes,
  • Salt, 1 pinch,
  • Black pepper, 1 pinch,
  • Celery sticks, 2,
Method:
  • Step 1, Place the ice in a large and pour in the vodka and tomato juice.
  • Step 2, Add the Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco sauce (Add more Tabasco if you like it very spicy), the lemon juice and the salt and pepper. Stir then strain the cocktail into 2 tall glasses.
  • Step 3, Top up with fresh ice, add a celery stick and lemon slice to both glasses and enjoy

A Bloody Mary is a cocktail containing vodka, tomato juice, and other spices and flavorings including Worcestershire sauce, hot sauces, garlic, herbs, horseradish, celery, olives, salt, black pepper, lemon juice, lime juice or celery salt. In the United States, it is usually consumed in the morning or early afternoon, and is popular as a hangover cure. The Bloody Mary was invented in the 1920s or 1930s. There are various theories as to the origin of the drink and its name. 

Bramble

Ingredients:
  • Gin, 40ml,
  • Sugar Syrup, 20ml,
  • Lemon juice, 20ml,
  • Blackberry Liqueur, 10ml,
  • Blackberries, Several,
  • Ice, 1 handful,
Method:
  • Step 1, Shake the gin with the lemon and sugar syrup.
  • Step 2, Pour over crushed ice and drizzle with the Blackberry Liqueur
  • Step 3, Serve with a couple of berries

Elderflower collins

Ingredients:
  • Gin, 50ml,
  • Elderflower Cordial, 10ml,
  • Soda water, to top up,
  • Sugar syrup, 10ml,
  • Lemon Juice, 20ml,
  • Ice, 1 handful,
Method:
  • Step 1, Shake the gin, lemon juice, sugar syrup and elderflower cordial with ice.
  • Step 2, Pour over ice and top up with soda water.

Elderflower Royale

Ingredients:
  • Gin, 50ml,
  • Elderflower Cordial, 10ml,
  • Sparkling wine or Champagne, Prosecco etc..., to top up,
  • Sugar syrup, 10ml,
  • Lemon Juice, 20ml,
  • Ice, 1 handful,
Method:
  • Step 1, Shake the gin, lemon juice, sugar syrup and elderflower cordial with ice.
  • Step 2, Pour over ice and top up with sparkling wine

French 75

Ingredients:
  • Champagne, Splash,
  • Gin, 50ml,
  • Lemon juice, 1 tbsp,
  • Lemon zest, zest,
  • Sugar syrup, 1 tsp,
  • Ice, 1 handful,
Method:
  • Step 1, Add the lemon juice, sugar syrup and gin into a cocktail shaker then fill with ice.
  • Step 2, Shake then strain into a champagne flute. Top with a little champagne, then garnish with a strip of lemon zest.

The French 75 cocktail was originally created at the New York Bar in Paris in 1915. This sparkling cocktail is perfect any time of the day! 

Pimms Cup

Ingredients:
  • Pimms, 45 ml,
  • Lemonade, 60 ml,
  • Ginger ale, 75 ml,
  • Orange, 1 slice,
  • Lemon, 1 slice,
  • Strawberry, 2 slices,
  • Cucumber, 2 slices,
Method:
  • Step 1, Place all the fruit into a glass
  • Step 2, Add the Pimms, Lemonade, and ginger ale.

Sazerac

Ingredients:
  • Absinth, 2 Drops,
  • Whisky, 20 ml,
  • Cognac, 20 ml,
  • Angostura Bitters, 2 drops,
  • Sugar syrup, 10 ml,
  • Lemon, Peel twist,
Method:
  • Step 1, Add the absinthe to a cold glass, swirl the glass to coat the interior.
  • Step 2, Add the remaining ingredients to a cocktail mixer, strain into the absinth coated glass and garnish with the lemon twist.

Sazerac may be the oldest cocktail to be mixed in America, dating back to the pre-Civil War. The story goes that a man called Peychaud started up a drugstore in the 1830s New Orleans in which he sold an herbal remedy he called 'Peychaud's Bitters'.  

A near by coffee house called 'Sazerac Coffee House', which was in fact a saloon, ttarted to mix the bitters with a cognac called Sazerac-de-Forge et Fils. 

And so was born the first iteration of the Sazerac cocktail... Or so the story goes. 

Scotch Melon Sour

Ingredients:
  • Whisky (Scotch), 25 ml,
  • Melon Liqeur, 25 ml,
  • Lemon juice, 25 ml,
  • Sugar syrup, 1 tsp,

  • Step 1, Shake your ingredients and strain into a glass filled with ice

Sidecar

Ingredients:
  • Cognac, 50 ml,
  • Triple Sec, 25 ml,
  • Lemon juice, 25 ml,

  • Ice, 1 handful,
Method:
  • Step 1, Add all of the ingredients into a cocktail shaker.
  • Step 2, Strain the cocktail into a chilled glass.

Tom Collins

Ingredients:
  • Gin, 50 ml,
  • Lemon juice, 25 ml,
  • Sugar syrup, 25 ml,
  • Soda water, 125 ml,
  • Ice, 1 handful,
Method:
  • Step 1, Mix the ingredients with plenty of ice in a Collins glass and stir.
  • Step 2, Garnish with a lemon slice

Ingredients:
  • Whisky (or bourbon), 25 ml,
  • Triple Sec, 25 ml,
  • Lemon juice, 25 ml,

  • Step 1, Shake all the ingredients in a shaker and strain into a glass filled with ice.

Virgin Mary

Ingredients:
  • Tomato Juice, 180 ml,

  • Tabasco Sauce, Dash,
  • Basil Leaves, 6,
  • Celery Stick, 1,
  • Pickle, 1,
  • Worcestershire Sauce, Dash,
  • Ice, 1 handful,
Method:
  • Step 1, Mix the tomato juice, lemon juice and basil with a dash of tabasco and Worcestershire sauce, in a glass with ice.
  • Step 2, Add a dash of salt and pepper and stir.
  • Step 3, Garnish with the celery and pickle.

Ingredients:
  • Whisky, 50 ml,
  • Lemon juice, 35 ml,
  • Lemon zest, Small slice,
  • Sugar syrup, 12 ml,
  • Angostura bitters, 2 dashes,
  • Egg white, 1/2,
  • Ice, 1 handful,
Method:
  • Step 1, Shake all of the ingredients together, keeping the lemon zest out.
  • Step 2, Strain into a glass with ice cubes
  • Step 3, Squeeze the zest over the glass to add oils and serve.
