Classic Martinez

Often described as the precursor to the martini, the martinez is as elegant as the martini and has enough character to stand alone. 

Classic Martinez

  • Preparation time
    5 mins


  • Genever

    50 ml
  • Vermouth

    40 ml
  • Triple sec

    8 ml
  • Angostura Bitters

    1 dash
  • Orange/Lemon

    Peel twist
  • Ice

    1 handful

Glass type


  • Step 1

    Add all of the ingredients to a cocktail shaker, filled halfway with ice. Stir.
  • Step 2

    Strain into a chilled Martini glass. Garnish with a lemon or orange twist.
